Description:

Take your carpentry skills to the next level in this immersive, hands-on workshop focused on hanging interior doors and fitting hardware. Whether you're renovating your home or looking to build professional skills, this class will give you the confidence and know-how to tackle one of the most satisfying DIY upgrades.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Measure and mark for accurate door placement

  • Trim and plane doors to fit existing frames

  • Install hinges, latches, and handles

  • Use chisels, routers and power tools safely and effectively

  • Troubleshoot common issues like uneven gaps or sticking


By the end of the day, you’ll have hung a door from start to finish—and gained the skills to do it again at home.

Appropriate PPE i.e. masks, safety glasses, ear defenders and the knowledge and reassurance that our classes are fully insured.

Description:

Join us for a full-day workshop where you'll craft a beautiful round side table using a combination of hand tools and routers. Designed for beginners and intermediate makers, this class is a perfect introduction to furniture building with a focus on shaping, joinery, and finishing.

Working with pine timber, you’ll learn how to:

  • Select and prepare materials for tabletop and legs

  • Cut and shape a round tabletop using a router jig

  • Use hand tools for smoothing, edge detailing, and joinery

  • Assemble and level legs for a sturdy, balanced build

  • Sand and finish your table for a professional look

  • Experiment with wax polishing to apply a lasting protection to your project

By the end of the day, you will leave with a fully finished round side table, crafted by you and ready to take home.
